Secret Santa Rules

Make sure you read the rules! Because of a few things this will be run unlike the past swaps in Sistas!

The Secret Santa Signup thread will be locked at MIDNIGHT on Friday December 10th...no more signups will be accepted after that time!! You will receive your secret sista's name via private message here on the forum sometime after Midnight EST Friday December 10th. This will give you one week before the swap starts to start collecting/making tags for your sista!

For this particular swap our rules will be ~~

1. You MUST leave at least 3 tags a day for your pal. You MUST leave at least 25 tags minimum over the course of the swap.

2. Swap starts FRIDAY the 17th and ends on FRIDAY the 24th. Now I know this is Christmas Eve...you ARE NOT required to leave you final tags for your pal this night...if you are out of town that is ok - you must have all of your tags in the folder and tell your pal who you are by December 26th. But keeping the spirit of Christmas anybody who would like to play Santa for their pal may reveal yourself on Christmas Eve so your Sista gets it Christmas morning.

3. You MUST be a member of this forum as well as our yahoo group which you can find here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/secretsistaswaps/?yguid=383373388. We currently have 54 registered members here and only 31 members in our yahoo group....so obviously someplace we are missing people.

4. All tags are left on fotki. Shortly after MIDNIGHT on FRIDAY December 17th we will send all participants a private message here on the forum telling you the fotki screen name AND password that you will be using during this swap.

5. Everyone is assigned one person to be their pal during the swap. You can find their like/dislike information in the signup thread. You are NOT to leave tags in any other folder on fotki but your own pal. If you notice that someone else has placed tags into a folder that is yours, please let myself or a mod know! If Clair or Kat leaves any goodies in the folders she will comment on them to let you know....but only Clair and Kat are allowed to leave anything for anybody else in the swap folders.

6. This time around Clair and Kat will have their own folders during the swap. They are offered as a free for all. While we keep things fair that only the head Sista running the swap receives tags we have heard many times that you guys want to give us tags even when we are not running it - so we are giving you the opportunity This is also the reason why we will provide you with the fotki information - this is the only way we can let you guys play Secret Santa with us too!!

7. Please try and keep everyone in the loop. We understand that emergencies come up, but if you know that on such and such day you are going to be outta town, please try and let your pal know on fotki...you can post in on the forum that you'll be outta town, but if you are the only one who didn't post tags that day...your sista can easily figure out who their pal is for the week lol Also it will stop us from hunting you down trying to figure out what's going on as well. Also understand that sometimes we have new people joining us with each swap. It is a lot of information to take in and get used to on the first try to please be considerate if you do not get tags right away. And lets remember that real life comes first...kids get sick, you get sick, your computer breaks...anything can happen during these so please do not think it's anything against you if for some reason your pal is MIA.

8. Both Clair and Kat will be running this swap. If you are having problems with the swap please send BOTH a private message here so the first to get it will respond.

9. Mass tags - these are tags made for each person who is currently participating in the swap (and often times the sista taking care of the head honcho business running the swap lol.) You can find a master list in the current swap thread. Once the swap has started, you may send out these tags during the swap at your choice. Please be considerate of the size of the email you send out. Try to send in separate emails depending on how many we have participating. Figure around maybe 7-10 images per email...These are sent through the yahoo group, secretsistaswaps@yahoogroups.com, as attachments only...do not embed any images as your mass tags.

19. Have fun!! This shouldn't feel like it's a burden for you to join each swap. You are allowed to sit back and just watch a swap...participation is only required to gain tags for yourself!! If you are not participating and would still like to make mass tags, that is ok as well.

11. If for some reason we have banned you from participating in a swap...you must complete the last swap you participated in before we move forward. So that means you need to get with one of us to find out the steps you take in order to participate in the swap again!!

12. You are allowed to collect tags anyway necessary for your pal ~ we understand that not everyone is a tagger here and that is ok! You can request tags from other taggers as there are many other tag groups out there. You can find tags for your pal or make them. We offer many different tips and tricks to making tags here on the forum.

13. While we hope to have a swap every month, if at any time we only have 5 sistas participating we will take the following month off. This group only works if we have people playing in it each month!
